2022-2023 (CURRENT) VOLUME TO DATEAttached is the latest PharmCAS applicant volume report as of October 3 versus the same time last year. The total number of applicant accounts in the system declined by -0.4% and the number of applicants with Submitted status declined by -6%. The total number of applications declined by -5% and Submitted applications declined by -6%. The mean number of Submitted applications per applicant remained steady at 2.59 in 2022 versus 2.57 in 2021.
A high positive percent change in applicants for a particular school group may reflect an increase in the number of early assurance students who have submitted a PharmCAS application to date. As a friendly reminder, participating schools must require all applicants to the first year of the professional Pharm.D. degree program to apply through PharmCAS and only offer interviews and make admission decisions on applicants with Verified status in PharmCAS. All schools must abide by this policy during the current 2022-2023 cycle or risk losing the privilege of participating in PharmCAS in the future.
