Hi Joan, How are you processing your supplemental data into Banner. We expect our process will no longer work when our Banner implementation moves from on-campus to a cloud-based environment.
Thanks!
Shannon

Greetings All,
At Temple University the SSN's are collected as part of the supplemental application submission, which is an encrypted webpage along with other questions. Daily exports merging the webform data and PharmCAS data gets loaded into Banner.

Hello All,
At University of Maryland we collect SSN's as part of our supplemental application which is an encrypted webpage along with other questions such as technical standards and background check policy. We do bi-monthly exports merging the webform data and PharmCAS data which then gets loaded into Banner.

Hello colleagues,
As reviewed by the PharmCAS Advisory Committee, PharmCAS does not permit schools to collect social security numbers (SSNs) in the application.
However, most schools need this information for institutional or federal financial aid forms. Given this, many schools collect SSNs outside of the PharmCAS application process, so it is only available in the school system (and not a national database).
To aid other schools and to hear some best practices, please share how and when your institution collects this information from applicants.
Thanks!
