    Application Deadline: February 13, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. HST

    Description:

    Four (4) school/college teams will be selected as semi-finalists to compete virtually in semi-final mock trial rounds. Semi-final rounds will take place virtually on dates in the week of March 9-13, 2026 (to be announced after semi-finalist teams are identified).

    Based on the results of the semi-final rounds, the top two teams will advance as finalists to compete in an in-person mock trial competition (courtroom-style debate) during the 2026 AACP Annual Meeting with the Final Mock Trial Competition scheduled on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the AACP Annual Meeting in in Grapevine, Texas (exact time and room to

    be announced). The winning team will receive a $500 prize, courtesy of the AACP Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Section. Names of the two finalist teams will be listed as customary on this webpage (see below), along with those of the mock-trial competition in prior years.

    Petitioner (for): Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) are beneficial and effective for patients and for the health care system.

    Respondent: Patient Assistance Programs are not beneficial to patients and not only ineffective, but harmful to the health care system.
