Dear colleagues,
AACP has selected five underrepresented minority (URM) pharmacy students as recipients of the 2023 CVS Health Minority Scholarship recognizing their outstanding leadership, academic success, and commitment to advancing the profession of pharmacy and patient care. Each scholarship awardee will receive a one-time $8,000 scholarship.
The goal of the scholarship program is to reduce the financial barriers for URM students who are pursuing a Pharm.D. degree. The scholarship is awarded to URM students who are entering into or recently enrolled in Pharm.D. programs at AACP member institutions. URM pharmacy students are identified as Black, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian, Native Hawaiian, and/or Pacific Islander students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
The 2023 CVS Health Minority Scholarship recipients are:
- YiuTing Huang, University of Florida
- Ama Boamah, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
- Jahlyn Hayes, University of Tennessee
- Funmilola Olateru-Olagbegi, Notre Dame of Maryland University
- Clinton Osei, The Ohio State University
