Target Audience:

This webinar is designed for pharmacists and pharmacy educators.

Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Differentiate between normal emotional responses and a mental health crisis, using at least three distinguishing characteristics for each category.
  • Identify appropriate faculty responses (e.g., listening, advising, referring, or seeking emergency services)
  • Recognize concepts of faculty self-care when working with challenging student interactions
  • Demonstrate effective supportive communication techniques (e.g., reflective listening, role clarification, trust-building) in response to student concerns during at least one case-based discussion.

The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. More Than a Bad Day: Strategies for Supporting Students in Distress (UAN: 0581-0000-26-009-L99-P) is designed as an application-based CPE activity and is approved for 1-hour of continuing pharmacy education credit (0.1 CEU). To obtain CPE credit for the webinar, pharmacists must attend the full hour-long webinar on February 25, 2026, and complete a CE post-assessment with a passing score of 75% and an evaluation via AACP Learn, the AACP Learning Management System. The deadline to complete the assessment and evaluation to obtain CPE credit is Marh 25, 2026.


AACP Learn will transmit the CPE credit information to the regulatory bodies at NABP and ACPE upon successful completion of the CPE requirements. Pharmacists should login to their NABP e-profile to access information about their completed CPE and to print a valid statement of credit if needed.

Instructions for Claiming CPE Credit for the Webinar:
1. Please go to AACP Learn, the AACP Learning Management System.
2. Click the “Webinar” tab and select the webinar titled, “More Than a Bad Day: Strategies for Supporting Students in Distress.
3. Note, registrants must be logged on to AACP Learn to access the webinar.
4. Select “Learning Quiz” to complete the assessment. Access to the learning assessment will be provided to registrants who attend the webinar in its entirety.
5. You will be prompted to enter your NABP ID number and date of birth. Please verify that the information entered is correct and correspond with your NABP record. (Failure to ensure this information is identical in both programs will jeopardize your earning CE credit.)
6. Review the information on the Welcome page and then click “Next Step” to proceed.
7. Select the appropriate answer to the assessment question, click “Submit Your Answer" and "Next Step."
8. Once completed, review your assessment results, and click the “Finish” button. Attendees who do not obtain a passing score may retake the assessment.
9. A pop-up window will appear to re-direct you to the main activity page.
10. Click the “Evaluation Form” link on the activity page to complete the session evaluation.
11. After completing the evaluation, click on the “Finish” button to submit your evaluation.
