Hosted by the Pediatric Pharmacy SIG
Many faculty development and mentoring programs focus on acclimating new faculty to academia and helping them gain tenure and/or be successfully promoted. While vital to continuance of one’s career, promotion and tenure is simply a milestone along the journey. Faculty development and mentoring may take a different form, but needs to continue for mid-career faculty if we are to grow tomorrow’s leaders. This can be challenging because the number of available mentors declines dramatically as faculty advance through the academic ranks. This webinar will discuss how to utilize internal and external resources to develop mid-career faculty and ways schools can prepare these faculty members for future leadership positions.
