Coaching for Growth: Building Resilience Through Feedback

Student resilience and the ability to receive feedback are important areas of focus across pharmacy education, particularly as learners navigate changes in their learning environments and preceptor manage evolving generational expectations . This webinar will examine coaching as an intentional feedback strategy to support student growth and resilience, while also addressing common challenges students face when receiving and applying feedback. Presenters will explore strategies for teaching students how to engage with feedback productively, reflect on it constructively, and translate it into meaningful improvement. In addition, generational differences in the delivery and perception of feedback will be discussed to enhance understanding, communication, and effectiveness among faculty, preceptors, and students.

Objectives:

  • Describe how generational differences and resilience affect delivering and receiving feedback
  • Explore methods for teaching students how to receive feedback
  • Utilize/apply coaching as a feedback strategy
