Health Profession Week (HPW) is a nationwide collaboration between today's healthcare and education organizations designed to provide reliable, accessible resources to explore careers in the health professions.
This year HPW will take place November 16-21. AACP is seeking volunteers to chat during the Virtual Fair on Thursday, November 21st from 3pm-9pm ET. If you are a pharmacist, faculty, staff, or current pharmacy student interested in chatting online with high school and college students about pharmacy education and careers, please complete this volunteer FORM. Please note:
- As a volunteer in the AACP chat room, please promote the profession and not your specific school or organization.
- There is no fee to participate.
- Chat hours are Eastern Time Zone.
- Limit 5 volunteers per chat hour (but you can sign up for multiple hours).
- Once you complete the Doodle form to volunteer, you will receive instructions to log into the virtual platform CareerEco.
Here are a few other things you can do to help make HPW2019 a success for pharmacy.
- Reach out to your prospective students list, local high schools, community colleges and undergraduate institutions to encourage them to register for the event.
- Participate in the #HPWChat on Tuesday, November 19th on Instagram as we discuss mentoring and shadowing.
- Leverage your social media platforms to get the word out about HPW using the hashtag #HPW2019.
