I serve as the Director of the Pharmacy Skills and Applications course series at Drake and am a member and immediate past co-chair of the Des Moines Area Interprofessional Education Collaborative - Planning Committee (this is a collaborative in Des Moines with membership of additional area separate institutions that have various healthcare students/programs). My primary areas of interest include interprofessional education, using simulation as an educational pedagogy, and scholarship of teaching and learning (especially in the pharmacy skills lab setting). After graduating from Drake University in 2005, I completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency with an emphasis in internal medicine at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. I earned my Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) in 2007 and just re-certified by taking the exam in 2015. I hold active membership in the Iowa Pharmacy Association, AACP, ACCP, and the Rho Chi Honor Society, for which I currently serve as the Alpha Sigma Chapter faculty advisor at Drake. Recently, I just joined as a charter member of the American Interprofessional Healthcare Collaborative.
