Which OTC is best for Me? Critical Thinking Assessment Strategies for APPE Students in Community Pharmacy

This webinar will describe two critical thinking assessment strategies for APPE students in a community pharmacy setting. These strategies can be used to assess a student’s self-care/nonprescription medication knowledge, as well as to develop appropriate decision making skills and increase confidence in making nonprescription recommendations.

Objectives:

  1. Identify different strategies for the appropriate assessment of students completing their APPE rotation in a community pharmacy setting
  2. Review signs of a student who does not meet expectations, meets expectations, and exceeds expectations when discussing self-care
  3. Demonstrate effective techniques for raising students’ confidence and knowledge base in the community pharmacy setting
