Preparing Students for Practice in a Health-System Pharmacy

This webinar will discuss the development and implementation of modern and novel instruction modalities to teach inpatient pharmacist skills as well as the use of technology to facilitate such instruction. Increasing complexity of activities as students’ progress through the curriculum and assessment strategies for varying levels of learners will also be discussed.

Objectives:

  1. Discuss the development and implementation of inpatient pharmacy simulation activities into a skills-based lab curriculum
  2. Describe methods of activity creation and delivery requiring -minimal or repurposed resources
  3. Describe how to create a longitudinal learning experience with instructional scaffolding
  4. Describe assessment strategies for varying levels of learners
