The literature identifying the benefits and efficacy of various well-being interventions is abundant. These interventions, which we call Resilience Medicine, is a double resource for PharmD students: 1) a personal tool for progressing through a rigorous curriculum and 2) a professional skill for compassionate patient care. UCSF is adopting a multi-modal approach to equip students, faculty, and staff with resiliency skills (mindfulness, appreciation, verbal hygiene, and storytelling) via a certificate program to facilitate the integration of these tools and techniques into the curriculum with brief class exercises and peer facilitation supplemented with individual advising. We invite collaborators to join us in implementing this vision.
