We wanted to share the following update that we received from Liaison regarding an issue with both Howard University's and the Community College of the Air Force's transcript process for all Liaison CAS:
Howard University
Howard is transitioning their legacy student information system (SIS) to a new platform. It appears that this is going to take up to a year (they are a few months in) and this has eliminated their ability to provide official transcripts through their relationship with the National Clearinghouse. As of now, all transcript processing through the Clearinghouse has ceased. See text from the clearinghouse site below.
Howard has offered to email what they are calling a "Provisional" transcript, however, they can only do this for students who graduated after 2017. For those before, 2017, they cannot provide anything.
Community College of the Air Force

Scope Assessment
A query of the application data base across all CASs reveals that, as of 3/5 there are 2078 students who need Howard transcripts and 1927 who need transcripts from CCAF. For PharmCAS specifically, as of 3/11, 14 applicants are in Received or In Progress status pending transcripts from Howard University and 3 applicants in are in Received or In Progress status pending transcripts from the Community College of the Air Force.
Proposed Solution
After reviewing options with their verification team, Liaison is proposing the following temporary solution to assist students and schools:
- Until such time as when Howard University and Community College of the Air Force resume issuing official transcripts, Liaison will accept Unofficial Transcripts sent to their Document Exceptions email – documentexceptions@liaisonedu.com and verify students using these unofficial documents.
- Liaison will not reverify once official transcripts are available (unless the official transcripts are received as part of a CASs regular Academic Update period), however a school can request an official transcript be sent to them at a future date once official transcript processing has resumed.
