RE: PharmCAS Volume Update: June 2019

Attached are the latest PharmCAS volume and colleges attended data for the current 2018-2019 cycle to date.

PharmCAS applicants with Verified status have decreased by 4.0% and applications (designations) have decreased by 17.6% as compared to the same point in time last year. Applicants are applying to fewer institutions on average: 2.78 versus 3.21 last year.

Although the last application deadline for the current PharmCAS cycle passed on June 3, staff anticipates there will be some additional movement in the numbers between now and the end of the cycle on June 28. Updated data will be shared at the AACP Annual Meeting and final data for the cycle will be reported in the 2018-2019 PharmCAS Applicant Data Report in fall 2019.

Please contact me or cas@aacp.org with any questions in the meantime.
