    Posted 06-23-2020 11:45 AM

    Hello colleagues,

We wanted to share the following reminders and updates with you regarding the current 2019-2020 cycle:

    IMPORTANT DATES FOR 2019-2020

    • July 1: The last day for applicants to create a new PharmCAS account.
    • July 1: The final application deadline for the 2019-2020 cycle.
      • Applicants who submit a PharmCAS application to apply to school by or before July 1:
        • PharmCAS must receive their official transcripts by July 9 and before the cycle close date on July 10.
        • PharmCAS staff generally verify complete applications within 1 business day at this point in the cycle.
        • If the applicant will submit an unofficial transcript, it must be uploaded by July 7 to allow for the processing of these files.
        • PharmCAS will accept late transcripts until the end of the current cycle, therefore, school does not need to offer deadline extensions to applicants who apply by the school's July 1 deadline.
      • If an applicant wishes to apply to school via PharmCAS after July 1 and by July 10:
        • School provides the applicant name and PharmCAS ID Number to Liaison staff.
          • Email deadline extension requests to Nicole Iarossi niarossi@liaisonedu.com.
          • Once PharmCAS notifies the applicant about the extension, the applicant has 48-hours to e-submit the application (or 24-hours if it is granted on July 9).
          • If the applicant fails to e-submit within that time, the applicant must ask the program to grant a second extension.
          • FYI – The AACP and PharmCAS offices will be closed on Friday, July 3.
        • Same transcript rules apply as above:
          • PharmCAS must receive their official transcripts by July 9 and before the cycle close date on July 10.
          • PharmCAS staff generally verify complete applications within 1 business day at this point in the cycle.
          • If the applicant will submit an unofficial transcript, it must be uploaded by July 7 to allow for the processing of these files.
    • July 7: Document submission deadline for 2019-2020 (with the exception of PCAT scores).
    • July 10: Application and Spring Academic Update close for 2019-2020.
    • July 24: Preliminary PharmCAS volume data for 2019-2020 will be available.
    • September 1: Final date PCAT scores accepted for 2019-2020 cycle.
    • September 30: Final decision codes due from schools for 2019-2020.
    • By November: PharmCAS year-end reports released for 2019-2020.

    ADMISSION DECISIONS

All PharmCAS institutions were expected to report at least one admission decision to PharmCAS by June 15 for every verified PharmCAS application it received. Programs must report admission decisions via WebAdMIT. Participating institutions are encouraged to update their admissions decision on a dynamic basis, and not wait to set them all on the deadline date, so that the "Competing Offers Made" and "Competing Offers Accepted" reports in WebAdMIT reflect current and accurate data. WebAdMIT Support can assist with bulk code changes, as needed.

See the PharmCAS School Manual (starting on page 74) to learn more.

Note: The Matriculated decision code should only be used once the accepted applicant has started classes. Do not use the code if an applicant has only accepted an offer of admission, participated in a new student orientation, or registered for classes.

While strongly encouraged, not all colleges and schools may have entered decision codes in WebAdMIT by June 15 or on a frequent and consistent basis for a variety of reasons. Therefore, the "Competing Offers Made" and "Competing Offers Accepted" reports may not always reflect up-to-date information for reasons beyond an applicant's control. Final decision codes are due by September 30.

Thank you for your help and cooperation! Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,
    Katie
