Disappearing Pre-Requisite GPA When An Applicant's Application is Updated by PharmCAS

    To my ever-helpful colleagues!

I noticed this issue last year and thought I was just imagining things but alas I am not. Rather than using the Local GPA for our pre-requisite GPA, I use the Pre-Requisite GPA feature so I can handpick the qualifying pre-requisite courses. However, I am running into a very annoying problem that when an applicant is updated by PharmCAS regardless of the type of update, it is wiping out my customized Pre-requisite GPAs and I have to go back in and re-do the GPA. If this was only a couple of people or it only happened once, no biggie other than it's on me to make sure I have their information accurate when running reports, etc. But it ends up being several applicants and sometimes up to 3 or 4 times a cycle.

Does anyone else experience this? Is there a "hack" I'm unaware of? Any and all advice is appreciated!

    All the Best,
    Jenn

    Jenn,

What you describe is the way LOCAL GPA (EXCLUSION) is set up.  This method starts with all courses then you exclude the ones you do not want.  This GPA reset each time there is an update to the transcript information.

Setting up a PRE-REQUISITE GPA (INCLUSION) starts with an empty list, and you add the ones you want to have included.  This GPA does not reset when there is an update to transcript information but you do need to go in and add any new courses you wish to have included.

If you have a PRE-REQUISITE GPA that is resetting, you need to have someone from Liaison/WebAdMIT take a look at your set-up and see if they can find the issue.  It should not be resetting.
