    Hello colleagues,

We wanted to share the PharmCAS 2019-2020 cycle enhancement list with you. The attached document provides comprehensive information on 27 enhancements for your review. Beginning on page 2, you will find a detailed outline of each enhancement followed by the planned solution for each item.

Because this is a large amount of information, we wanted to highlight certain enhancements that we thought were of particular importance to you. While all enhancements are applicable, these particular items are also highlighted within the attachment with further details.

    • Fee Structure. We are pleased to announce that PharmCAS fees will remain the same for applicants for the third consecutive year.
    • New Matriculated Elsewhere Report. This newly released report will be enabled on June 3, 2019 for the 2018-2019 cycle. In the 2019-2020 cycle and moving forward, this report will be available at the start of the cycle just like the "Competing Offers Made" and "Competing Offers Accepted" reports.
    • Evaluation Likert Update - Removal of "Professional Appearance." After careful review, it was determined to remove this criterion from the Likert in the Evaluator Portal.
    • New EO (Education-Occupation) Indicator tool. The EO Indicator will be enabled in WebAdMIT and is a national gauge for applicant socio-economic status that will help further diversify academically competitive applicants and help colleges and schools of pharmacy achieve their institution's diversity goals. Save the Date! A webinar will be held for schools to learn more about this new feature on September 24 at 2pm ET (registration link TBA).
    • Deferred decision code in Shared Offers Report. Since Deferred is an accepted offer, this decision code will be added to the Shared Offers Report that schools can be run as part of the End of Year Reports for PharmCAS (available in Fall 2019).
    • Applicant Fee Waiver Status. Admissions users will be able to view fee waiver information in the Fee Waivers sub-tab on the Application Financials tab in WebAdMIT. Available details will include the status of an applicant's fee waiver and the dates on which the fee waiver was redeemed, expired, and awarded.
    • Conditional and paired program level questions in the Configuration Portal. You may want to revise some of your custom questions for the 2019-2020 cycle. The Configuration Portal will now allow for conditional questions and conditional answer options. Save the Date! A Configuration Portal webinar will be held for schools on May 13 at 2 pm ET to review the new features available (REGISTER HERE).
    • Available now! Attachments can be added to emails through WebAdMIT. In early 2019, the ability to add attachments to email templates or individual emails in WebAdMIT was released.
    • Applicant Customer Service Addition: Chat Feature. Starting at the 2019-2020 cycle launch, Liaison will be expanding their customer service options for applicants to include a chat feature.

NOTE: Some changes listed were enabled after the 2018-2019 cycle launched. Many CAS only highlight changes to their participating programs on an annual basis. As such, some of these changes have been included in the list to ensure program awareness.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out directly to me to avoid cluttering inboxes. If similar questions come in, I will make sure to clarify that information with everyone.

    Thanks,

    Katie
