As the holidays draw near, we wanted to provide you with a few updates and other helpful information.

    Office Closures

The AACP offices will be closed for the holidays from Monday, December 24th through Tuesday, January 1st. We will reopen on Wednesday, January 2nd. The Liaison offices will be closed for the holidays on Tuesday, December 25th and Tuesday, January 1st.

Admissions Workshop Call for Proposals Extended!

A reminder that AACP invites you to submit session proposals for the 2019 Admissions Workshop via a new session submission form. The due date for session proposals has been extended. They are now due by Monday, January 7th at 5:00 pm ET. Additional details and information can be found below:

Mark your calendars for the 2019 Admissions Workshop in Chicago, IL on July 12-13! During two, full days of programming, you will learn the latest about the application services, WebAdMIT, student recruitment and retention, technology resources, and more. The 2019 program will also include ample time to connect with colleagues and exchange ideas.

    GRADUATE ADMISSIONS TRACK – NEW!

AACP invites faculty and staff who are involved in the admissions process for graduate (MS/PhD) programs at colleges and schools of pharmacy to participate in a new graduate track during the 2019 Admissions Workshop! The concurrent sessions will enable attendees to network and discuss important issues that are unique to graduate admissions and training.

CALL FOR SESSION PROPOSALS – NEW!

AACP invites you to submit session proposals for the 2019 Admissions Workshop via a new session submission form. Session topics may include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

     Pharmacy college/school branding for recruitment

Session proposals are due by Monday, January 7th at 5:00 pm ET.  All submitters will be notified by January 31, 2019 if their proposals have been accepted after review. This submission form differs from the one for the AACP Annual Meeting (now closed). Proposals for the Workshop must differ from ones submitted for the AACP Annual Meeting committee. Members and non-members are eligible to submit proposals. Topics may be related to Pharm.D. admissions, graduate admissions, or both. Each standard session block will be 50 minutes. A limited number of open blocks are available. Proposals featuring speakers from more than one institution are encouraged. If there is a decision to merge similar proposals, submitters will be notified or consulted. Selected speakers will not be paid, and are responsible for their own registration, travel and hotel accommodations.
