  • 1.  Settings Transfer Issue

    Posted 10-05-2018 03:24 PM

    Hello everyone,

There was an issue during the Settings Transfer process where data may not have carried forward properly from 17-18 cycle to 18-19.  The issue has since been resolved. Part of the solution was to reactivate the Setting Transfer prompt in WebAdMIT for all PharmCAS schools.

Please review and confirm your 18-19 settings transfer data in WebAdMIT:

    • Please dismiss this message if you determine that all your 18-19 settings transfer data looks accurate.   It's not recommended you initiate Settings Transfer again  if your 18-19 data is accurate.
    • If you determine any of your settings transfer data is not accurate, or missing, please re-run Settings Transfer to properly restore any data that did not carry forward from 17-18.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Melissa:

Thank you for the message.  Unfortunately, it was decided that we had made an error and began our work from scratch.  It was a lot of work, but we will live.

I have told my people to ignore/delete your message as a precaution.

    Hi Dave,

We wanted to send this message because some schools had begun to inquire why the Settings Transfer prompt was back up on the portal.

We certainly apologize for this misinformation. This particular issue was difficult for our team to diagnose,  and the final outcome was not attributed to user error.  Again, sincere apologies for the added inconvenience.

Will re-running the transfer wipe out anything we have done in the system up to this point or just correct anything that wasn't brought forward?

    Hi Jon,

Re-running the settings transfer should not wipe anything that you've already built in 18-19. However, it's advisable not re-run Setting Transfer if all your data in 18-19 is accurate and sufficient.

Happy to touch base with anyone who has any additional specific questions.
