  • 1.  In-person interview day no show candidates and last minute cancellations

    Posted 01-19-2022 01:05 PM
We have recently experienced both interview day no shows and last minute cancellations with lame or no excuses.  We offer both in-person and virtual options and the issues have been with in-person interviews primarily.  These are candidates who live locally.  I am wondering if any other programs offering in-person interviews are experiencing the same issues.
    Thank you in advance,
    Heidi

Yes, we have had more than usual of the last minute cancellations this year.  So far we have only had one true "no-show".  And yes, the lame excuses, no excuses, or just simply no communication at all is much worse.

    Hi colleagues,

Thanks for alerting us to this issue! AACP staff will remind applicants via PharmCAS social media and email about the Interview No-Show Policy later this week.

As a reminder, colleges and schools of pharmacy should continue to report any applicants who violate this policy to conduct@aacp.org.

    Thanks,
    Katie

Our program has also had seen some of this behavior, which is unsettling because it affects faculty and staff time. The AACP  PharmCAS code of conduct addresses this, doesn't it?
