    Hello colleagues,

We are pleased to share the list of PharmCAS enhancements for the upcoming 2020-2021 cycle. The attached document provides comprehensive information on 38 enhancements for your review. Beginning on page 3, you will find a more detailed description of each enhancement.

Due to the large amount of information, we have highlighted certain enhancements in this message that we thought were of particular importance to you. Please view the attachment for further details.

    • New PharmCAS Logo. AACP has refreshed the PharmCAS logo that will be used beginning in the 2020-2021 cycle.
    • New PharmCAS School Directory. On May 18, 2020, AACP will launch a new PharmCAS School Directory (backend) form for school users with enhanced navigation and data fields. Review the Prepare Now: 2020-2021 PharmCAS School Directory Opens May 18 post for additional information on how you can begin to prepare.
    • New PharmCAS Website. In early July, AACP will launch a new PharmCAS website for applicants that will feature dynamic reports and a refreshed design.
    • Liaison Assisted Deferral Process. Beginning in the 2020-2021 cycle, deferred applicants will no longer carry forward in WebAdMIT after completing Transfer Settings. Instead, PharmCAS will migrate to the Liaison Assisted Deferral Process that will occur on October 1, 2020.
    • Reapplicant Questions. Two commonly asked reapplicant questions will be preloaded in the custom questions section of the Configuration Portal for all programs. Programs that wish to opt-out may remove them.
    • Coupon Codes. Beginning in the 2020-2021 application cycle, pharmacy programs will be able to purchase coupon codes in the amount of $55 or $175 to cover an applicant's incremental or base application fee, as desired.
    • COVID-19 Impact Questions. PharmCAS will give applicants an opportunity to express any challenges that they encountered as a result of the pandemic via a new COVID-19 question block.
    • Post-Submission Edits to Advisor Release. Applicants will be permitted to change their answer to the Advisor Release after they have submitted their application.
    • Invitation Codes. For programs that want to extend their deadline for individual applicants, programs will now request an "invitation code" from Liaison that is unique to the pharmacy program.
    • Application Deadline Time Zone. Beginning in the 2020-2021 application cycle, all deadlines will expire at 11:59 pm Hawaii Time (HT).

NOTE: Some changes listed were enabled after the 2019-2020 cycle launched. Many CAS only highlight changes to their participating programs on an annual basis. As such, some previous changes have been included in the list to ensure that all users are aware.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out directly to me to avoid cluttering inboxes. If similar questions are received, I will make sure to clarify that information with everyone.

    Thanks,
    Katie
