    Hello colleagues,

The 2020-2021 PharmCAS School Manual is now available. The purpose of this manual is to assist AACP member institutions in understanding PharmCAS policies and procedures. The manual includes instructions specifically for participating Pharm.D. programs, as well as selected excerpts from the PharmCAS application instructions.

For ease, the manual has a Table of Contents on page 2. Another helpful tip is to use the "Ctrl + F" option to locate a desired topic within the document.

A few items worth mentioning to review because they are new, have changed, or are frequently asked about topics:

    • Page 6: Test Application Accounts
    • Pages 14-15: Applicant Code of Conduct Violations
    • Pages 17-19: PharmCAS Institutional Participation Policy
    • Pages 24-27: Options for Multi-Campus Programs
    • Page 32: Application Deadline Dates*
      *
Beginning in the 2020-2021 cycle, all deadlines will expire at 11:59 pm Hawaii Time (HT).
    • Page 34: Deadline Extensions & Invitation Codes
    • Pages 35-36: Early Decision*
*Schools that opt to participate in the ED process during the 2020-2021 PharmCAS cycle must agree to release any accepted ED applicants who no longer wish to enroll in the Pharm.D. program for any reason.
    • Pages 51-52: Important Dates
    • Page 55: Coupon Codes*
*Coupon codes have been expanded to include a new option that covers the base $175 fee in addition to the $55 incremental fee.
    • Pages 66-69: Academic Update
    • Page 72: Applicant Status Categories
    • Pages 74-75: Sharing of Admission Decisions
    • Pages 75-76: Deferred Decision Code Policy
    • Pages 76-77: Liaison-Assisted Deferral Process*
*To pull deferred applicant data forward from the current cycle into the 2020-2021 cycle in WebAdMIT, you must enter a Deferred decision code by no later than September 30.

The 2020-2021 Application Instructions (PDF) will be available to applicants when the brand-new PharmCAS website launches in early July.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,
    Katie
