Below and attached are the latest volume updates for the current 2019-2020 admissions cycle.

EARLY DECISION: A total of 3,180 applicants chose to apply via Early Decision (ED) in the current 2019-2020 cycle representing an 11.5% increase as compared to the ED pool last year. There were an additional 518 applicants who applied via Early Decision and were automatically returned to the regular pool because their applications were not submitted by the September 3 deadline. Early decision applicants are given priority in the verification queue. Applications for all ED applicants should be verified by close of business on Monday, September 9, unless the verification team identifies a problem with a particular file. Programs must enter decision codes for Early Decision candidates into WebAdMIT by no later than 11:59 pm EDT on October 18, 2019.

OVERALL VOLUME: Attached is the latest PharmCAS applicant volume report as of September 6 versus the same time last year. Although the early decision pool increased, the total number of applicants with "submitted" status declined by 7.2% and applications declined by 8.9%. Aggregate applicant data for state of residence and primary college attended are also included. More detailed tables on the number of applications by geographic region and program type will resume in October.

2018-2019 (PREVIOUS) CYCLE: Final national data for the full and accepted pool in the 2018-2019 cycle will be available in the next PharmCAS Applicant Data Report (PDF) in November 2019, once all final admission decisions are received from participating colleges and schools. Please remember to submit all decision codes for the 2018-2019 cycle by September 30, if not already done. Thank you!
