  • 1.  Unofficial Transcripts in PharmCAS

    Posted 04-29-2020 10:45 AM

    Hello colleagues,

PharmCAS will now accept unofficial (student-issued) transcripts from applicants in the current 2019-2020 cycle who are unable to obtain official transcripts due to campus closures and delays in the registrar's office. For applicants who need the exception, they should be directed to refer to the new "COVID-19 Transcript Hardships" section found under the Supporting Information quadrant of the application. This information has also been added to the COVID-19 page on the PharmCAS website.

    COVID-19 App

Liaison will verify unofficial transcripts and calculate GPAs, as if transcripts were official. Schools will also be able to view an applicant's unofficial (and official) transcripts in WebAdMIT as PDFs. Applicants who upload unofficial transcripts will be advised that official transcripts may be required by the college/school at a later date.

Certainly let us know if you have any questions.

    Hi Steve,

Yes, a message just recently went out to all in-progress and received applicants in PharmCAS.  If helpful, here is the message that was sent:

    Hello applicant name,

On behalf of PharmCAS, we hope you are safe during these challenging times and are contacting you with important updates.

    UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS
PharmCAS will now accept unofficial (student-issued) transcripts from applicants who are unable to obtain official transcripts due to campus closures and delays in the registrar's office. Login to your application and go to the new "COVID-19 Transcript Hardships" option under the Supporting Information section. PharmCAS will verify unofficial transcripts and calculate GPAs, as if the transcripts were official. You are encouraged to still arrange for official transcripts to be sent to PharmCAS, if they are available from your colleges attended. Applicants who submit unofficial transcripts will likely be required to submit official transcripts directly to the college or school of pharmacy at a later date.

    PASS/FAIL COURSES
Can applicants use pass/fail classes to fulfill pharmacy school prerequisites? Get the latest update on this question and other pharmacy admission policies by visiting the PharmCAS COVID-19 page.

We hope these updates will enable you to login and complete your application today!

    Sincerely,

    PharmCAS Support Team
